Tayyaba Hyder

MS. TAYYABA HYDER, Associate at Ali Khan Law Associates, focuses on regulatory and transactional matters in the power sector, with expertise in expert determination proceedings, solar tariff modification petitions, and regulatory research related to energy projects. She holds an LLB (Hons.) from the University of London (distance learning programme) and a BS in Management Sciences from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology.

Ms. Hyder has experience conducting legal and corporate due diligence for energy sector transactions, assisting in the preparation of submissions for Expert Determination and Tariff Modification hearings. She has also provided legal opinions on corporate restructuring and governance matters, offering strategic insights into company law compliance.
She served as co-counsel in the Expert Determination hearing for Zorlu Enerji’s 100MW solar power project, advising on key contractual and regulatory aspects of the dispute. Her experience includes reviewing critical project agreements, such as Energy Purchase Agreements (EPA), Implementation Agreements (IA), and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts.

Beyond the power sector, Ms. Hyder has advised on corporate and company law matters, including company incorporation, drafting Articles and Memorandums of Association, and legal procedures related to corporate conversions from private to public and limited to unlimited structures. Her deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate structuring strengthens the Firm’s bench in complex energy and corporate transactions.
